Each year during Lent we get fish fry dinners from several local restaurants. Wagner's is always our favorite.
Homemade Baked French Onion Soup
My boyfriend and I stopped in and ate at the bar. He had the fish fry and I was so surprised to see him eat every morsel! I was not as hungry and went for one of my favorite smaller dishes, French onion soup. I've tried this dish at many places and this was by far the best! A perfect balance of ingredients, not overly salty, and just the right portion. The bartender made me a White Russian that was a generous portion, nicely iced and not too strong for me and it was reasonably priced. A nice casual and friendly atmosphere, tasty menu options and decent prices. I quickly became a fan and look forward to my next visit!

These are the best stuffed banana peppers ive had in a long time. I will def get these again

This sandwich is always on point. A delicious twist on a classic.

Our Famous Beef on Weck
I grew up in Middleport. I had my first beef on weck at the bar on Pine St in the 60s. I was hooked! I live in Indiana now but get Wagner's every time I'm back. I was there last week and it's as good as ever!! I've sampled many and none taste as good as Wagner's. My son agrees. We had one at another restaurant and it did not compare!

One of my family's favorite places for the classic beef on weck. Always great service and great food.
Beer Batterhaddock
Ordered 2 fish frys for take out. They were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The fish hardly fit in the container it was so big. One of the best fish fry's around.
